Learn about new research into thyroid hormone function in Covid19 patients with The Thyroid Trust and Dr Bernard Khoo. The subject of this webinar will be new research into thyroid hormone function in Covid19 patients, published by Dr Bernard Khoo and colleagues. Dr Khoo, who is a senior clinical lecturer in endocrinology at the Royal Free Hospital in London, has kindly agreed to give a talk and answer questions on this study. Dr Khoo trained at the University of Cambridge. Specialist accreditation in Endocrinology and Diabetes at St Bartholomew’s, with Wellcome Trust Advanced Fellowship from 2003-2006. Since 2009, he has been Senior Clinical Lecturer in Endocrinology at UCL Medical School. HIs specialist interests are in treatment of neuroendocrine tumours, as well as genetic endocrine disorders. He is the endocrinologist for the Royal Free Neuroendocrine Tumour Multidisciplinary Team. This event is for anyone affected by thyroid disease, including friends, family and interested professionals. There will be a 5 minute comfort break around the halfway point.
